My only regret was not booking Josi sooner! I wish every woman could have a doula at her side during birth. Having Josi at the hospital was so comforting and helpful every step of the way. I love that she does prenatal appointments to help you get ready for birth and talk about your goals. It was so helpful for me to learn and prepare at home and I know my husband greatly appreciated it as well. Not only is Josi full of knowledge but she also has so many resources to share as well. She came so prepared to the hospital as well. I will never forget her offer to braid my hair as soon as she got settled, it was such a caring act that helped me feel a little more put together during labor. I felt safer having her there. As a first time mom, you don’t realize how much time you are left to labor alone in the room with just your spouse, if you are at the hospital. She was always keeping me reminded of the plan and helped be my voice during decision making time in the hospital. Having a trusted professional with us every step of the way made a huge difference. I think my birth would have felt really scary without her. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the postpartum visits as well. She is generous and thoughtful. She does it all!! 10/10 would recommend, you will not regret it.
